time to want as well as a time to abound

"There is a time to want as well as a time to abound while we are in this world. And the times of wanting, as well as abounding are greatly advantageous to us." - Issac Pennington

Looking for the advantage in waiting for lots of things. Boy am I impatient! And yet, I have been blessed with moments of quiet space this week, a quiet home with Bach playing softly as the stew simmers, sitting with Maille watching favorite Christmas movies in wonder.

And this was shared today from Brent Bill:

'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.' And all our apparent initiative is already a response, a testimonial to His secret presence and working within us. The basic response of the soul to the Light is internal adoration and joy, thanksgiving and worship, self-surrender and listening."-- Thomas R Kelly

Listening. Who says "way opening" doesn't come with a road map?
